Lobby composition

kevin game Squad Planner

There are no team slots in a 1-versus-11 hunt — but how eleven survivors distribute across the savanna's landmarks decides most rounds. Here is the composition plan, from documented habits.

Quick answer: plan the lobby, not a roster

kevin game (Survival / 1 vs All, 12-player servers, launched 2026-08-23) has no characters to collect and no slots to fill: one player is assigned the hunter each round and everyone else survives with their own avatar. So a squad plan here is a composition plan — how many players move together, where each group goes, and what the hunter's documented opening move does to every wrong answer. The community tier notes make the shape clear: split from spawn is S-tier, a duo is A-tier, a huddle is a C-tier trap, and the hunter's S-tier plan is to read the spawn and punish exactly the lobby that ignored all of this. Compose accordingly.

Worked example

Distributing a 12-player lobby

Arithmetic on documented values: 11 survivors, 3 line-of-sight landmark families, 1 water rule.

The split that works

11 survivors ÷ 3 LOS families (the near and far arches, the tall stones, the tree cluster) = groups of about 4. Each group takes a different family, breaks line of sight on arrival, then turns — and no group lives on the water, which the map guide documents as bright, flat, and exposing. Result: the hunter's wide first loop finds at most one group, and the helper check after a hit finds a pair instead of ten.

The split that feeds the hunter

The same lobby that stacks at spawn hands the documented S-tier opener a free multi-kill: the spawn read says “if they stacked, take the gift.” Half-stacking is nearly as bad — 5 or 6 players at one landmark is one arch sweep for the hunter and a chain of helper-chases for everyone else. The planner's rule of thumb: no landmark family holds more than one group, and no group holds more than a duo if you can help it.

Group sizes, judged

Group sizeDocumented verdictWhy
Duo (you + one friend)A-tierDocumented as strong: a pair covers each other's blind angles and shares one bait legally. 'Duo with one friend — not a big group.'
SoloWorksThe default state of most lobbies. Solo play leans on the S-tier habits — split, LOS break, turn, camera up — because nobody watches your back.
TrioLeaks timeThree bodies make noise and shadows at one landmark; the hunter's helper check exists precisely because groups send friends after a hit.
Full-lobby huddleC-tier trap'This is not PvP unless the HUD says so.' Eleven players in one place convert the hunter's first loop into a multi-kill.
The other side

The hunter's spawn read is the same plan, mirrored

Composition planning fails or succeeds in the first thirty seconds.

What the hunter is doing

The documented S-tier hunter plan starts with a spawn read — stacked lobby or split lobby — and branches: take the gift, or run a wide first loop along shore or tall stones. The loop then applies two-landmark pressure per minute so the field never feels safe, and after every hit the hunter checks for the helper before celebrating, because launch-week lobbies reliably send friends in.

What composition does about it

A split lobby denies the opener: there is no gift, the first loop catches nobody, and each helper-chase costs the hunter time that the HUD objective may be consuming. That is the planner's real output — not a roster of names, but a lobby that starts the round already denying the hunter's only documented plan. When you are assigned the hunter role instead, the hunter pattern tiers are the same plan from your side of it.

FAQ

Composition questions

Does kevin game have squads or team slots?

No. The 1-vs-All format has exactly two roles — one hunter and up to eleven survivors — and no roster, classes, or loadout slots exist on the documented record. Your 'squad' is your own avatar plus whatever the eleven-player lobby does.

What is the best group size?

The documented survivor tiers rank duoing with one friend as A-tier and a full-lobby huddle as a C-tier trap. A pair covers angles; anything bigger than a trio starts reading as a clump the hunter can farm.

How should a 12-player lobby distribute itself?

Eleven survivors across the three line-of-sight landmark families — arches, tall stones, tree cluster — works out to groups of three or four. The same arithmetic run on a huddle puts all eleven in one spot, which is the documented week-one disaster.

How does the hunter pick who to hunt first?

On the documented hunter plan: read the spawn, punish a stack, then run a wide first loop along shore or tall stones. A lobby that splits denies the hunter the free opening, which is the point of planning your composition before the round starts.

Can I queue with friends?

Yes — the game is playable on PC, mobile, and console, and you can party into the same server. The composition advice is to stop at a duo: the format gives you no tools to coordinate a larger group mid-chase, and proximity voice is not advertised.
